Give Credit To Big Health

I have recently started posting food and product items to avoid with you.  I will eventually be sharing about 100 products to either avoid, use sparingly-if at all, with the rest to use in every day moderation.  I am putting them out slowly and in priority so as to not overwhelm.  And, even though I have been following many of the suggestions on the Items To Completely Avoid list before knowing about this list, I did not do the research to compile this list and wanted to make sure I give due credit to the author Dr. Russ Bianchi.  He is an expert in food on a cellular level and totally speaks a language I can understand and love to listen to!  He publishes the Uncle Russ blog (which I follow and you absolutely should also!  Sign up for his RSS feed to receive his amazing nuggets of wisdom in  your email box every morning.)  He is also the formulator of numerous products you have been consuming for the past 30+ years and Zija.

Here are the Items to Eliminate for this week:
  • Fast food (if it‟s fast, or low cost, it‟s typically not nutritious and has empty calories) - You know it is true!  However, I am not saying go cold turkey!  Start with not buying combos!  Do NOT get the soda.  Cut $1 or more from every fast meal by asking for a cup of water (I always drink tap anyway), if the cup is small ask for two or three!  Don't be embarrassed to stand up for your health!  Then, instead of not buying fast food at all, start by researching better option fast food restaurants in your area.  Then progress to grocery store deli counters (being choosy of course), moving up the healthier fast food options chain.  With the goal of always taking lunch and making dinner options easy!  Crock pots, stoves with timers and homemade freezer dinners that you can throw in the oven (toaster or full size NOT microwave) make this easy.
  • Microwavable food (alters the molecular content and nutrition of heated food or liquids) - It is not only about what you microwave in, just the act of cooking/heating your food in a microwave changes it!  Our modern day food is already lacking drastically in comparison to its vintage cousins (food today is not the same as it once was 50 years ago!!!) don't chance microwaving it too!  I am so close to eliminating microwaving all together!

Raw is best, BUT hard to find

Okay, if you haven't noticed, I do A LOT of research! My nine year old son suffers from ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) along with some sensory issues. He has already had so many obstacles in his few years.

I recently I had heard about the benefits of eating raw (unpasteurized) foods. What I found made me realize the urgency to get on it now! No problem, I thought, we'll start right away.

So, I did a bunch more research on buying raw food only to discover it is nearly illegal to do so! Found some raw milk at Sprout's (SoCal). It tasted great! But, it is break the bank expensive and it goes off super quick. Did not find the raw cheese I thought I would there. And, haven't. Okay, so that was a bust. Maybe for the better...

Come to find out, that a product can be labeled RAW if low temperature pasteurized! Especially nuts. So, do your homework before you buy! 

I have since done yet more homework of my own to conclude that a milk free diet may serve attention deficit even better. Although we have been to an allergist that refused to test for dairy or gluten intolerance because my son was not having any gastrointestinal issues, there could easily be a problem here. So, our next trial - since Zija worked out SO WONDERFULLY - is non-dairy beverages/foods. We'll see how it goes and keep you in the loop!

Put it on your shopping list next week, NOT to buy these products.  If they are already on there, cross them out with big black marker to remind you of why you should NOT buy them!  These findings are science based, not science fiction!  You really should not put this stuff into your body!

Okay, three more items that are extremely damaging to your body and should not be used... 
  • Tooth & Oral Care Whiteners (will make your tooth enamel brittle and increase your chances of broken teeth and dental care problems) You Really Do Not Need This!
  • Mainstream Shampoos, Soap, Detergents, Perfumes, Colognes, Deodorants, & Cosmetics (many contain harmful cancer causing ingredients) MELALEUCA Baby!!!    If you are going to start using Melaleuca products, you can use the Melaleuca essential oil in the below mouthwash recipe also.
  • Mainstream Breath Sprays, Mints and Mouthwashes (many typical use harmful and chemically based cancer causing sweeteners, colorings, and bulk agents) First of all, you will NOT need breath mint if you use Zija.  Secondly, if it is a habit you cannot break, here is an all natural concoction you can make yourself really easy!

Sorry for the delay in posts!  I having been taking a professional development class four full days a week for the last five weeks.  Tomorrow is my last day!  I just wanted to post quick about the very comfortable day I had...
